Message From President

Hello everyone,
I am Binayak Manandhar, and I am proud to stand before you as a care leaver. My journey has been shaped by the challenges and triumphs of navigating the alternative care system. Today, I am honored to share that I am leading the care leaver network in Nepal, known as Alternative care youth’s Society.
Growing up in alternative care has instilled in me a deep sense of resilience, determination, and empathy. These qualities have guided me to advocate for the rights and well-being of fellow care leavers. The Alternative Care Youths Society, which I have the privilege to lead, is a community that strives to empower care leavers in Nepal. We committed to creating a supportive network where care leavers can share their experience, find mentorship, and access resources to navigate the challenges that often accompany transitioning from care to independence. Through our collective efforts, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and foster a sense of belonging for care leavers in Nepal.
I believe that by amplifying our voice and working together, we can create positive changes not only for ourselves but for future generation of care leavers. As the leader of the Alternative Care Youths Society, I am dedicated to championing and ensuring that every individual leaving alternative care receives the support they need to thrive.
Thank you for allowing me to share a glimpse of my journey. I look forward to collaborate with care leavers and representative organizations to work for care leavers.
